Cannot get to the CONNECTED stage of the Echo in setup.

Was not sure, whether to post in here, or Technical Support.

Quite simply...

1. Won an Echo from the US. (purchased from Amazon.com)
2. Sent to the UK.
3. May still be registered to that Amazon.com users Marketplace account, I've been told it has been Deregistered from their Amazon Account.
4. Hours on phone with Amazon.
5. They state it needs to be migrated from US to UK.
6. Ticket in and waiting for this.

If this is true....

would the US Alexa App for iOS and Android, should work with this US Echo?

I just do not see how this can proceed, if the Echo can never reach the internet!

I don't know about the rest of it or even if the app is country specific but I do know it won't be any sort of hassle to uninstall the one you've got and download it again from the UK. Then link it to your Amazon UK account and maybe give your Echo another go. Hardly any time involved and nothing to lose?

tried US Apps (iOS and Droid) and it makes no difference.....

but just maybe had a break through with Amazon....

We will wait and see.
