Changing volume for alarm and timer.

I use the firefox brower for setting Echo.  I am unable to preset the volume for the
timer or alarm.

I clilck on the menu for timers and alarm.
I click on manage alarm sounds and volume
At this point I only see the text for alarm notification volume, but there is nothing
to click onr adjust.

The Echo works fine except I can't change the timer sound from defaut. I can
change the alarm sound though.

Everything else seems to function as it should. It responds well to voice commands,
plays music, reads my ebooks, most anything else I want. I can change volume with
voice command or with the ring.

It connects to my network quickly.  Once I did notice it saying can't find volume settings.
try again later. Well later has been months. Still no joy. I emailed support and all I got was
a auto email in response. No suggestions..

Any help would be appreciated..  I feel it must be an unusual problem as I haven't found
any others with the problem online. I also have the Dot, and I can't set the alarm volume
on it either.

I tried using my kindle hd 6 to set it, but the alexa app bearly works, and crashes. I reinstalled
the app again and installed it with no joy. I did download the version that's supposed to work
with my kindle.

The white triangle is the slider to change the volumn.  Put your mouse cursor on it & slide it from side to side.

I also use FF.  If the above does not work, use another browser.

There is no triangle, and I tried another brower. Still no Triangle. internet explorer had
the text saying it couldn't find my volume settings and to try later.  No triangle.

If restarting your computer does not help, reinstall the browser Alexia app.  Maybe yours is corrupted in some way.

Are you using a Mac or a PC?  I suspect PC when you mentioned IE.  [/b

EDIT:  Make sure you are using the latest version of FF.  You can get another Alexia app from---> https://alexa.amazon.com

browser app?  there is none to install.  there is a webpage you go to in order to access alexa.

I start my Echo, and Dot every day by plugging them in.  My computer is started
2-3 times a day.

I may try doing a factory reset on my Echo again to see it helps. Sometimes the
Alexa website has shown my echo offline when I was listening to music on it. Go
figure that.  It seems this issue is very unusual. If it was just one of my devices
not working one might think it was defective, The only other thing I notice is the
sound for the timer on both devices won't change from default, but will with alarm.

I appreciate the help. If I get it working I will post what I did.

what is the full model number of the router?  also try safemode with network and see if maybe a third-party software is interfering with it.

I still can't preset my alarm volume on my ECHO  I have used more than one
computer. One with windows 10 and the other  with windows 7 pro. The Alexa
control app with Firefox. No adjustment available for alarm or timer volume.

I am using the following router. Linksys EA3500 Dual band N750
Echo connects quickly.

The Settings page on my Alexa Page (Just purchased in January), has a List of devices, showing both my Echo, and My Dot.
I pick a device, then Scroll down to the 3rd section and click on the line that says "sounds"... and it opens another page that allows me ONE volume setting for "Alarm, Timer and Notification Volume". That is the only volume setting for timers and alarms I can find... It works fine on my browser (Google Chrome), but I don't think your issues lies in the browser.

It may be that you are searching for the controls separately that you aren't seeing what you're looking for... But here's where it's at... Top line.

Thank you for the picture showing the slider.

The slider for volume has never shown up on my browser app for
Alexa.It just says it can't find my sound settings and to try again later.

I checked my router. The echo is in the device list. So the amazon
Alexa cloud shouldn't have any trouble finding it.

The same problem occurs with my Dot as well. So it kind of makes
one think it might be the router.

Seems strange no one else has mentioned having a similar problem.
There must be tens of thousands of active Echo devices under use.
I have done searches and amazon trouble shooting doesn't even
mention the problem or how to fix it. My router seems to be working
fine. I wish I had another router to try. I really don't want to buy a
new one just to see if that fixes the problem.

Everything seems to work except for changing alarm sounds or
presetting volume levels for the alarm or timer sounds.

Have you tried enabling developer tools in your browser which might show errors in the console preventing the volume slider appearing?

Also sometimes it is worth clearing the browser cache of all material as sometimes an older cached file can stop things working as they should.

I can't see all that well, so I can't really see the developer data. I have
tried. IE, and Google crome as well. They don't show the slider, and I
get the same message saying they can't find the sound settings and to
try later.  Apparently the cloud is having trouble finding tha sound files
in my Echo, and Dot.

This is so strange as it keeps my alarm time settings, I would think if
the cloud can tell my Echo when to start alarms or timers it could
find sound level settings.

Thanks again I will keep looking for a fix. It is odd no one else has
had the problem. Or mentioned a similar problem online with all the
Echo devices in use.
