Alexa Will Not Play Just A Single Song by An Artist

I've had Alexa for about 10 days. At first, I could ask Alexa to
play a single song by an artist, and the song would play.  The past
couple of days, I will ask Alexa to play that same song, and when
the song has finished, Alexa begins playing other songs by the same
artist.  I know this seems trivial, but sometimes I want to only listen
to a particular song.  If I tell Alexa to play songs by a certain artist,
then, of course, Alexa goes to the Shuffle Mode, which I understand.
How can I just have a single song play without automatically going
into Shuffle Mode after that song ends?  I have tried commanding, "Turn Shuffle Off," and Alexa responds by saying Shuffle is off, but Shuffle
resumes after the one song.  What am I doing wrong?

I've noticed this too. I think they must have changed the way it works. I wish they'd put it back to the way it was.

I did call Technical Support and was told that several people have reported this issue.  They are working on a fix.  I returned the unit, and a replacement arrived today.  It's doing the same thing.  Very frustrating.  My neighbor has an Alexa Echo which she purchased in December, and it's working fine.

Agreed, should go back to the way it was.  I have two Echo Dot's and they are both doing the same thing.  Once they set a behavior pattern, it should remain the same.  I don't want the Echo to be training me.

Good.  I will check as well.  I was noticing it had done this a couple of times, but I was busy with it in the background, so I didn't think TOO much about it.
