Automatic bluetooth connection?

Is there any way to get my echo dot (which is always on) to automatically connect to my bluetooth rx?  I have a BT device attached to my home stereo- when the stereo and BT are on, I want echo to use that... if the stereo and BT are off, the dot will disconnect okay, it just wont reconnect when I start them back up.

Have you tried asking the Dot: Alexa, connect bluetooth.  Or, check your manual for the BT device?

Hummm. That is the way mine works already. If my stereo with BT adapter is on my Echo automatically switches to it. When I turn the stereo and BT off, the Echo switches audio back to itself. I don't think I had to do anything special....

This is why I said read the BT transmitter, speaker, etc manual.  They all have their own way of connecting.  Most issues connecting Alexa devices have to do with operation of the other devices and not the Echo device.
