Blocking specific bands from playing on echo prime stations
« on: August 25, 2015, 09:03:24 pm »
Hello, as per the title, I am wondering if its possible to make the echo not play certain bands. I tell it to play a genre station and 90% of the songs its plays have nothing to do with the genre but are mostly the same band.

thanks

If it's playing from Amazon Prime Music, it's just a playlist that someone else created.  For example, if I ask Alexa to play some 80s music, she'll pick up an 80s playlist that Amazon decided to use. If you don't like it, the best thing to do is to create your own playlist. There are thousands upon thousands of songs for free if you are a Prime member. Even if a particular artist/song isn't on Prime Music, there are usually a dozen or so cover bands playing the same song. And many of them sound just as good as the original.

Yeah, I wish I could just tell Pandora to Never play any Nickelback no matter what station I'm on, besides immediately thumbing it down.
