I just purchased the Echo and I already had a Fire Phone. After setting up the Alexa with the Amazon App, Everything worked great! When I went to Call/Message Alexa said that I had to register on the app which I had already done. I rebooted Alexa and started over and the same happened. I called Customer service who put me in touch with Alexa Tech and he troubleshot, about two hours later I was told that the problem was that the Fire Phone isn't compatible with the Alexa App at this time and they are working on it. Now,...I bought Alexa just for that application (Call/Message). I feel that Amazon should inform consumers if they have a problem as such. For instance, Just how long will I have to wait for this update? After all, they are both Amazon Designed specialty products. More R&D.
