Echo and Echo dot synch question

I have echo and echo dot. The echo dot is hard wired to an audio receiver that is connected to wired whole house audio. Is there a way to sync the Echo so the commands for play music will be executed by the echo dot?

I don't think that's possible yet.  Maybe some day.
