I got my GH at BB for $114 a couple of weeks ago.  Actually my sweet sister bought it for me   But if it were to drop in price by $40 like Echo just did for Prime members, I'd purchase another one.  It's back up to $129 now.

Pretty much this. My next talkie speaker will be by Google or Apple. I'm disappointed Amazon, instead of improving their music selection as part of prime, decided to try to get me on their subscription service. Nope. Amazon is slowly driving me away. The sales tax collected and that stupid banner at the top of the Alexa app may be the last straws.

I can get the same shipping from Walmart.com now, same prices, and subscribe to Google Music instead.

I have done some reading this last week (Staycation week) and read that apple is supposed to actually introduce something this week, that competes... Keep your eyes and ears open. The World Wide Developer conference is 6-5 thru 6-9 and is supposed to open up some new tech and software development news... some of it pretty big this time, I am reading... but hype happens... so we'll see.

I'm not religious about tech. I just use what works for my purposes and costs the least.

I'll be surprised if what Apple puts out doesn't suck though.

Not necessarily, although it will likely cost more.  On the otherhand, if Microsoft releases an AI device, it may very well, "suck".
