just read that you can now  block contacts. The option is at the bottom of the contacts page.

I've yet to use it as I only know two people with Alexias that I talk to on the phone and they aren't interested. From what I'm reading I'm not either.  I will be interested to use the Google home calling though.

I agree, at this time, the premise of google home calling is the better choice.  though you cannot call 911 you will still be able to put the different emergency phone numbers in to the contact list.
