Hope I didn't miss the rapture!    This is the first time I've ever seen this forum go dark.

Last weekend in July, so everyone but you was outside enjoying summer, mowing, painting, swimming, etc.  Get over it.    As for me, I was painting a fence, gardening, later went out to dinner at Jimmy Mack's for BBQ baby back ribs and washed it down with frosty mug of Armadillo beer!

Once they all get back to work on Monday this place will be hopping  Meanwhile, enjoy the calm.

I hibernate from June through September. But we have a rare cold front that's dropped the temperature 10-15 degrees... and lower humidity!  DH isn't working tomorrow so I'll let him take me to the city for retail therapy and dinner

This weekend was Tax free weekend for buying school stuff too, wasn't it? That takes even more people out of the fray. I checked in as well... and didn't miss anything... spent a little more time on FB than normal though, having discussions on all kinds of crap and debating the Transgender thing in the military... Boy... that turned out to be one of those fun subjects with a ton of butt hurt on both sides of the discussion... No mater which side you are on, it's not right is all I could figure out.

not in my neck of the woods.  too much humidity and too many mosquitoes

OK, so they were all at the air conditioned malls and theaters, but they likely were not at home fretting about their Alexa gadgets unless house is air conditioned!

(So glad I do not live in hot and muggy South anymore.  Seattle area is a naturally air conditioned place in summer.  It is dry and in mid-70s this afternoon (although we have air conditioning.  Why not; it hardly runs much of the time in summer.)

Sounds like you live in the Deep South also.  I'd love to live where you could  enjoy the summer.
