Echo TriBand Smart switching compatibility

In case this was not posted here before, Amazon Echo does not support smart switching with routers.
I got on the phone with customer support and verified that this was not possible.

Turned on smart switching and the Echo just would not connect to Wifi.
Turned off smart switching and the Echo connected just fine.

If anyone has a work around, I would greatly appreciate it!!

I have smart switching enabled on my asus 3200 and it works fine for me.
