third party bulbs and hue hub

my first generation wink  is acting up and decided to disconnect it self and not reconnect today when doing an firmware update.  I decided I may try using the hue hub to replace it.  anyone here use their hue for third party bulbs, are there any issues to watch out for?   I have both ge and cree bulbs.

turned out the problem was because of an update last night and it was fixed on their end.  however I am still looking into having only one hub and since I already have the hue, it is something to look at.
