recent owner of echo Dot 2-blue ring

I recently bought an echo dot gen 2. Just learning all the cool stuff it can do. But now I have a solid blue ring. I have read the other post about this and have tried the different items listed, but so far none have help. Is there any new ideas out there I'm really disappointed that I just got it and already having issues.

Try this:  unplug for a full five minutes, then plug back in ansdcheck Dot again.

Also, are you using the power supply and cable that came wiht the Dot?
