No sound

Hi,
Had this problem since i bought my echo dot around christmas time 2 years ago. When i first used it everything worked fine but then i stopped using it for a number of months and when i plugged it back in no sound was coming out. I recently tried it again and sound came out for around 1 day and then when i woke up the sound had come off again. I have checked for updates and am fully up to date and the volume is definitely all the way up. The dot is definitely hearing me as what i say registers on the app and it flashes indicating that it is answering me. (I have never connected it to a bluetooth speaker)
Any advice? thanks

So you had the problem when it was still new and did not try to return it? Hopefully you're still under warranty.
