Alexa ignores me, loss connection?

I just bought the Echo 2nd generation. I went through the set up this morning with my iPhone, and it was answering me about weather, and playing music from my music library through my iPhone. Than, it just quit working. I would say “Alexa”, blue light comes on, but no response. I did a reset, went through whole process again, worked, than did same thing as before. Any ideas for a fix would be appreciated. Thanks

Unplug the DOT for 15 minutes.

Also check if your router is giving the device the same ip to two devices at the same time.

I'm having the same trouble with my Alexa 2nd generation. I have to press the action button on top of the unit begore it will start to work. I have unplugged it, checked my connection, but every morning and sometimes during long intervals of not using, I have to push the action button. It's annoying.
