Echo Plus and Philips Hue - do I need hue bridge

Sorry if this is posted elsewhere - new to echo plus and this forum.
I have echo plus and 3 white hue bulbs. I want to set an on/off schedule for home security.
I understood (maybe incorrectly) that the echo plus had a hub inside that would remove the need for additional product specific hubs/controllers. It turns the bulbs on/off ok but I cant link it to the hue app.
Simple question: do I still need the hue bridge?
Thanks

To turn the bulbs on at specific times, use your Alexa app on your phone and set up a routine based on a scheduled time.
If you want to use the Hue app, you need the Hue hub.

No. The point of echo plus is so you won't need any other hub. Use routine feature as the above post.
