Alexa has stopped responding!

We have had an Echo Show for several months and we recently added a simple Echo Dot.  They have both been working fine until yesterday afternoon.  I decided to take a nap and I asked Alexa to wake me up in 20 minutes.  After 20 minutes she sounded a wakeup sound and kept on repeating it after I told her I was awake.  So a said "Alex stop".  She did stop the wakeup sound and hasn't responded to any request since then!  The visible lights don't flash and there is no indication that the Echo Show is hearing me.  The Echo Dot in another room still seems to be working fine.  I have tried rebooting the Echo Show but that didn't help.

I would appreciate any suggestions on how to get out of this problem.

If rebooting didn't work, have you tried resetting? Here's link (scroll down to your device).

Unplug device for five minutes then plug in and try again.

And please let Alan and Mike know if their advice worked. One of my pet peeves is reading all about the help that people here offer, and there is often no acknowledge of the attempt or if the advice helped.
