Echo location outside of the US

Got an Echo for Xmas and it won't recognize my location (Caribbean). Any fix for this?

Have a look at the Echo Canada topic or elsewhere in this UK topic for some suggestions. 

You may have to set up the device on an Amazon.com account if you can get one, then localize it afterwards for weather and traffic etc.
