Alex with harmony hub

Morning all

I have the alexa dot with a harmony hub and I would like to know how can I use my built in netflix. I have a samsung smart tv. Thank you in advance.

You can establish limited control of Netflix using harmony with your smart TV. For example once you have identified your smart TV in the harmony app, you should create a smart TV activity that could allow you to do the following: –
Navigate Netflix using Direction Pad Navigation.
Use the all the media keys – play pause stop etc.

This would obviously depend on the brand of smart TV

So no way to use alexa to tell her to watch Netflix on the smart tv. Or can that only be done with fire tv stick

Actually, you should be able to.
Go to the harmony app and set up a Smart TV Activity. This is different than a Watch TV activity.
Once you have identified your Smart TV in the harmony app, it should correctly identify the apps in your specific Smart TV.
So, essentially you are building a Smart TV activity very similar to a Watch TV activity. You can then use Alexa voice commands to execute the actions you want.
If this sounds confusing, it's my fault, however try it on the harmony app and it should flow smoothly.
