Reminders on all devices?

Is it not possible to have your reminders play on all your devices?  If I set a reminder in the living room it will only play on that device, I may be in the bedroom or vice versa of course.

Frustrating isn't it?  I am an engineer.  It seems some major integration is lacking on the Echo devices.  I have been looking for the same thing PLUS the ability to merge the "Reminder" functionality of Alexa and any set of Calendar events from a Google or Apple calendar.  Although you can tell Alexa to add an event to your calendar, Alexa will NOT remind you of that event.
