Setting up Alexa Show

I've been trying to link my mums alexa show (one with display screen) with the app on her phone. When I go to add device  from the app, alexa show is not an option. All I have is echo, dot and plus.

Do I use one of these? Main reason for doing so is so I can link her Spotify via the app so she can ask Alexa to play from Spotify

You must have a very old version of the Alexa app. Update and get the new one.

I will try that. Couldn't find a version update in the app itself. Presume its a remove and install.

So just updated the app.... But still no alexa show in device list in the app.

Did you set up the show from the device itself yet? If you did that correctly, it should show up in the app after that.

The device came half set up linked to my amazon account (as I purchased for her).....

Is there a way I can reset it and start fresh using her details?
