Getting radio stations-variances on different devices

I have 2nd gen. echo plus and echo dot.  My echo plus  goes to my fav station with no problem.  If I go to my dot and say the exact same thing, it doesn't recognize it or puts me on a different station. Same voice, same command, same wifi connection.  Thank you for any help
