Scouring the internet and not finding the answer I want, which may mean it does not exist.  That said:  Anyone here know if there is a smart garage door opener that works with alexa directly.  The end result is me wanting to say "Alexa, open the garage door" and "Alexa close the garage door" without any "ask so and so app to open or close"  Preferably with a security code I can add when I say open.  Much like Kevo locks can do today...

The Garadget garage opener can do that. You just enable the Garadget skill and you can say "Alexa, open the garage" or "Alexa, close the garage."  Just keep in mind that if Alexa can hear someone shout from outside, they could potentially open your garage door. There are no security codes.

I installed it at a friend's house a few years ago and it worked fine. There were some hiccups every now and then.
