Will steaming always pause while addressing Alexa?

Hello.  I stream Spotify on my Echo Dot (through a bluetooth speaker) and use voice commands for my home automation devices and the steaming pauses with every time you address Alexa. Is there a way to set it so it simply decreases the volume a little? Like the music player app on my phone does during sound notifications...

Sorry if this an obvious fix.
