My echo connect used to either announce the contact that was calling thru my devices and if not in contact list, the number that was calling.  For the last couple of days my echo show 2nd gen only says “incoming call”.  Does anyone else have this issue?

first you said connect then you say show - which is it?   you said outgoing calls then you are talking about incoming calls.  which is it?   please clarify

The echo connect is the device that my echo devices use to monitor incoming calls to my landline. The echo connect does not make any announcements, it provides info to echo devices. When a call is incoming to my home phone my echo devices will either say, for example, “Bob wants to talk”, if Bob is in my contacts, or you have a call from 555-1212 if call is from an unknown person.  For the past day or so my echo devices only say “incoming call”.  Hope that makes things clearer.
