I used to be able to request Alexa to play a certain genre of music or a specific artist or song. Now she tells me she is going to play something and then say, I'm not sure what went wrong."  I have rebooted the cable box, the router, plugged and unplugged Alexa and nothing. Does she just not like my taste in music?  Do I have to have Amazon Music.

It used to work just fine. Help!

Is it the only issue you're having? Is Alexa responding to other inquiries?

Unplug Alexa device for AT LEAST FIVE MINUTES  to clear All glitches out, plug in and try again.

Yes, everything else works, as Raj from "Big Bang" would say, Honky Donkey.

I'll give it a go. I have to go out for a couple of hours.
Thanks

No luck. It was unplugged for 2 hours and she keeps telling me, "I don't know what happened." Maybe she doesn't like my taste in Music.

I am quite new, Both here, and to the service/product.
I may be completely wrong.  I was under the impression that you woudl need both a "skill"
and a "service"

So, if your 14  (or 90) day trial, of Amazon music, has expired.
and you DO not have serious, or spotify, And you are lacking a "skill"  installed to provide Alexa with music.  I would guess, Alexa would not be able to play music?

I would also like to ask, what other free streaming music "skills" are available to Alexa?
