Android Echo APP - cannot use volume or equaliser functions

Hi all,

The Andriod APP on my phone IS connecting OK to my Echo as some of the functions do work.

However, if I try to adjust the volume, (under -> "Device" -> "MrsEcho" -> "Device settings" -> "Volume") it reports "Volume change unavailable - To change the volume you must be playing audio............."etc - At this time my Echo IS playing audio.

A similar thing happens when I try to adjust the EQ, though in this case, nothing happens, the sliders on the APP do not move at all.

I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the APP, but that didn't make any difference.

Can anyone throw any light on this please?

p.s. = I know I can do the above via voice commands directly, but I do have a good reason for wishing to use the APP for this.
