Set Amazon Plug Default State?

I have an Amazon Smart plug in a power strip. When I turn the power strip on, the Amazon plug is off. Is there a way to set the smart plug so that it turns on when the power strip is turned on?

Do you need to automate the individual plugs on the strip? If so, you need a smart power strip instead of a smart plug.

Try searching for one. I bought one "meross" brand smart power strip from Aliexpress.com which works with Amazon Alexa and Google Home.
