I just had a new Honeywell thermostat installed and I have the Honeywell app on my phone and on Alexa. When I want to change the temperature, I have to say , "Alexa, set Honeywell Home to (temperature).  That's a mouthfull to say.  How can I change the name of my device to just thermostat or even thermo?

Smart plugs names change can be made in its app settings, see if Honey cac do same.

Mike is correct, my Honeywell is called Thermostat (I know... how imaginative!). I named it in the honeywell app as directed during set-up.

I suggest running set up again to find the place to name it. Otherwise, I just say "Alexa, change thermostat to ___" and she obliges. You can also change using the app, or Home Kit on an iPhone as well.

Thanks for the help!  I asked Alexa to rename it and... she did!!    Life is good!  :)
