Echo Dot, Voice Remote and Bluetooth speaker pairing

Can my echo dot pair to both the voice remote AND a bluetooth speaker at the same time.  My Dot does not arrive for 3 weeks yet and I'm wanting to use my Dot to listen to music through my bluetooth speaker back in the pool area of the back yard and use the voice remote to give the commands to my dot located in a room nearby the pool area.

Think so, as each BT signal (for remote and speaker) is a separate one.  The remote does not have an issue for the original Echo if it is playing BT music on the Echo.
