Alexa Notification Light?

This morning with no pending alarms or reminders , Alexa in one room only began a multicolor light and tones for about a minute. During that time I asked it for my notifications, and my messages, there were none. I asked why it was making that sound and it replied how to turn down the volume. In history there was no indication any thing happen.  If it was an incoming phone call it did not announce who was calling. So what was Alexa doing?

without knowing the color of the lights and how it was blinking it is hard to say.  maybe it was just updating.
