Spotify won't unlink

So my partner linked her Spotify to my amazon echo which is fine but now she's stopped paying for her Spotify and I've got Spotify premium now, so we unlinked her account and linked mine. It shows in the alexa app as linked but it still tries to play through her Spotify and because it's not premium it says it can't play as it doesn't support streaming services, and that makes total sense as it's not premium on hers.

But why is it still trying to connect to hers when it's unlinked to hers and now linked to mine?

did you delete the account info in the echo settings?   I don't remember whether or not it needs a skill but check the skills section and make sure it is not there.
