Use an echo button as a panic button that calls for you. Just remember that echos will not call 911 so you will need the standard 7 digit # to your local police department in your contacts.
But yes, your scenario is probably the most likely outcome. My response would be "Don't stand so close to me"
Break into my house at night and trip a motion sensor, echo will tell you: "you better get out of my house, I've got way more ammunition than you!"
