alexa won't stop repeating reminder

Alexa keeps repeating reminder even after I say "Alex, stop", "Alex, forget reminder" and everything else I try.  I have to unplug the echo to make it stop.

I'm having exactly the same issue. I was notified of a delivery yesterday morning and it keeps repeating several times an hour since. I want to keep getting delivery notifications, but only ONCE! Any suggestions. I have a new Echo Show 2nd Gen and am still learning. My other Alexa devices (not "Shows") report the delivery and once I ask what the delivery is, there are no more notices.
