I can ask the Echo to play an artist that is available in Prime Music, but Alexa seems to not want to play that artist unless its in my Library.
Why?

You need to get use to asking the right information. I wanted to listen to BS&T in Prime but when I asked it would only play samples. I finally said Alex "Play.... Blood...Sweat...and...,Tears in Prime Music" low and behold it finally played.

I have a suggestion... Start the Alexa app and goto setting and do the voice training. It just might solve this inconvenience.
