My phone won't ring when Alexa calls

When my kids trying calling my cell phone from our Alexa my phone doesn't ring.   We havevtri3d just saying the phone number, my name and how my number is in my contacts.   It goes straight to voice mail and they can leave a vo8cevmail.  But my phone or Alexa App doesn't ring.
