Using echo abroad with BBC Sounds?

I'm a UK echo flex user. Having found out how to get it to work in a Spanish hotel (travel router), I want to listen to BBC Sounds catch up programmes. I can listen live but asking Alexa for previously broadcast programmes results in her telling me she is going to play the programme and then - silence. However, it did work once so I live in hope.

it is hard to say.  you can try disabling, then enable the skill again.  I am in the US and listen to bbc news and sometimes get nothing but blank air too after alexa announcing "and now playing bbc news

It might be worth getting a 30 day free trial with a VPN, setting your location as the UK and seeing if that makes a difference.
