Calling from home echo to mobile used to set up messaging????

My problem is with messaging. All echos were registered in my name as I alone have an Amazon account at home. I can call and message from my mobile (the one used to set up messaging) to home echos while I am out and about.

The problem is: My wife tries to call me on my mobile, when I'm out, from a house echo - but my mobile alexa app does not respond. Instead the house echos all glow green. So my wife is effectively calling herself. How can this problem be resolved?

yes simply set up a free amazon account in your wifes name and install the alexa app on her phone and link to said amazon account. even though she will not control the echo devices she can use the call feature and be recognised under own name. i did this with my wife.

Thanks for the reply. I'm not sure this is what i want. If I am out and about how can my wife use an echo dot (not the app) to contact me? All the echos are in my name.

Same problem here.  Want the family to be able to call me when I am away from the echos but just calls the other echos in the house.
