Echo remote

Watching the videos on YouTube it seems that you need the remote when setting up the echo. Since the new echo is shipped without the remote how do you set the echo up without it? I ordered mine a week ago with a Amazon invite. I hope the remote will be included with the order.

Instead of waiting to see, I would call Echo Customer Service (they have a dedicated line) and make sure. If they waffle, hold their feet to the fire and insist you wanted what you were invited to receive.

Pairing the remote with the Echo is part of the set up if you have one,
 but is NOT needed at all to complete set up.

All you need is the app on a wireless device of some sort to set up the Echo (smartphone, Tablet, Laptop)

When you get to the part about the remote, just click continue to skip that step.

If you get a remote later you can go into the settings to pair the remote.
