Echo and multi-zone stereo/Plex/Control 4

I have speakers in every room currently controlled, sort of, by a CONTROL4 unit.  I hate it.  The interface is atrocious and tens of thousands in Control4 equipment doesn't accomplish what I could do with the flick of a switch.  I have echo dots in many rooms of my home.  I want to rip out the entire Control4 system and its horrible music software.  I now have all my music on a PLEX system.  What is the best interface for controlling all this?  Reading some on the logitech harmony...would that do it?  I just want to listen to a song in any particular room without jumping through hoops!

Plex has the ability to control Alexa. I would try that first.
