Does your whole Home automation system stop working if your internet connection goes down? Can any Home automation system system work without the internet? If not, there's Millions to be made by someone that can make one work on a private offline network. Just saying. Danny Hays

Most of my actual automation involves only lights and motion sensors, both of which are handled by the Smart Lighting app running locally on my SmartThings hub...so my automation rules continue to function even in the absence of Internet connectivity.

The Vera Plus will work without an internet connection.
