I live in a senior independent living complex and I rec'd me echo last Friday. People are coming to my apartment all day to see my ecko & when they leave their comment is always " I want one" jimjoh

LOL Then they should get one! If you're handy with setting it up along with some smart switches, you might even make some extra cash. I bet a lot of seniors want the ability to turn on/off lights and set alarms by voice. It sure beats the old "clap on! <clap><clap> clap off! <clap><clap> clap on, clap off, the clapper!"

And they're great for listening to Audible books.

My 90 year old blind mother has listened to hundreds of books on her Amazon Echo.
