strange honeywell issue

lately I have been having strange issues with my honeywell thermostat when changing the settings with alexa.  When I give the command for alexa to change temperature, I get the not found message and to check the power and wifi settings.  But the thermostat still makes the changes.  Unfortunately it is a permanent hold not a temporary hold like in the past.   the model is rth6580wf
