Echo will $129.99 on Prime Day

I'm really torn. 

On the one hand I'd really love a second Echo to keep in my bedroom, and that $130 price tag may never come again. Also, since I'm in the Pacific time zone it wouldn't be any big hardship for me to stay up so I can place my order as soon as the clock strikes 12---the Mashable article says supplies at this price will be limited.

But on the other hand, Amazon may follow the same development roadmap as they have with their Fire tablets, releasing upgraded hardware every year, and in that case I'd regret having bought a second first-gen model when the second-gen model is released.

Decisions, decisions...

It's 12:10 AM here in So Cal, and the Echo's still priced at $179.99. I checked the Prime Day deals page, and didn't find it listed among any of the "upcoming deals" there, either. ='[

Just went to $129.00 There's a waitlist full but I'd try anyway.  Oy- it couldn't hurt!

At around 7:35am (PDT) Amazon was showing the $129.99 lightening deal as 27% closed so I quickly clicked on the waitlist link and it came back with 100% closed a few seconds later.

Price is back up to $179.99  It now says "Lightning Deal has sold out"
