Echo Dot not playing music? Check your router.

I had an echo that worked very well and a week or so later added an echo dot, which would not play music and or keep track of it's remote.  I exchanged it thinking it was faulty and had the same issue.  Tried connecting it to my cell service mi-fi device and it worked great.  Borrowed a wireless router and it worked great, so I bought a new one.  My old router was probably 6 years old, but was amazed that it fixed the problem.  Tried changing setting in the old router but no luck.

I just got a new router earlier this week.  My old one was at least 10 years old and was installed before I had a wireless printer, smart phones, Dots or a tablet.  I'm seeing my biggest improvement in my desktop computer but also improvements in the Dots, which is what prompted me to upgrade the router.
