I have only just bought an Echo Dot. I was playing around with what Alexa understood and asked her where the TV remote was. She replied "Have you looked under the sofa". Much amused I wanted to show off this response to friends but on all subsequent requests she just replies that she does not understand the question. I am beginning to think I imagined it!

Sometimes the software is taken offline for upgrades and the real Alexa has to pull a live shift ...

Did you look under the sofa ... NO .... You shouldn't have ignored her first response .... now got the hump for about 3 weeks
