Software versions... Cross Capable?

So... I try and keep everything updated on my Alexa devices, and watch them closely. Of course with all the chatter today, I am checking and found the Software version on My Echo dot, is a much higher number than the Amazon Tech support version shown for the current 2nd gen units... My Echo (full size) is spot on, and my Fire Stick is higher as well. Anyone know  up to the minute info? I already emailed support... no answer yet..

Not everyone gets the update all at the same time.  I do not know the cause for this.
My 2nd gen DOT is also higher than the one shown on the DOT update page.  I am in the USofA-east coast.
