Play-fi to dot

New to all this, thinking of getting a dot and curious of it can hook up to playfi wifi speakers? Trying to essentially get a whole house audio and would rather not hardwire in or spend hundreds on Sonos. I was thinking echo dot to a few Polk Omni s2 speakers. Would that work?

Those Polk speakers should work using the 3.5mm analog jack. The DOT transmits via Bluetooth or wire.
