How to control your echo device (dot etc) remotely. I found the answer

I had posted another thread asking if anyone knew how this could be accomplished.  Amazon sells what is called the "Alexa Voice Remote for Echo" It's $30. Its a real remote and you can pair it up in the Alexa app.

Search for Alexa Voice Remote for Echo on Amazon. Check it out. Now I can be in the garage or anywhere around the house and not have to come back in to ask Dot to play something different. Nice!!

And yes you can have your bluetooth speakers already paired with echo and the remote will still work great.

Good for you, now you can use Alexa via the remote control.  I found one, too -- it was included free in the early shipments of the Echo device.  It is on our fridge and we have hardly ever used it., but then I was not in the garage or by the pool!  You sound like a guy who could use an Amazon Tap  I use mine when outside, etc.
