I have a new Echo Plus and an Echo 2. I would like them to play the same (Amazon Music) tracks simultaneously in the same room in stereo. How do I connect them in this way?

You can turn on the feature Multi-Room Music > Everywhere and then select the echos you want to 'combine' for playing music.

Thank you Dragon 123.
A) If I do this, will they play together in true stereo? Or will they each play in the 'virtual' surround stereo that each plays in individually?
B) Will I need to reconnect or configure them in this way every time I want to make such use? Or will they auto-sense the prior preference?

Stereo playback is NOT two speakers playing the same thing even if you have them synced perfectly.
The result would just be two MONO speakers.  Stereo requires a LEFT channel and a RIGHT. channel signal playing on two separate speakers.

A MONO signal is a blend of the left and right signal, and all speakers of Alexa devices are mono;  except for the Tap which has left and right channel speaker for stereo. The audio out of Dots, Echos etc are stereo outputs and when fed into a stereo amp or a stereo Bluetooth speaker the sound out is stereo. Sound out from a BT speaker when fed a stereo BT signal would result in stereo from the BI speaker.

So, if you want stereo easily, use BT to stream Echo (even audio from a smart phone) to a stereo BT speaker.

Yes, just set up multi play option in Alexa Voice app.  It will play across all devices.

But, is it stereo?  I doubt it, but maybe it is a new feature?
